Max Scherzer 2013 Cy Young Award Bobblehead
Summary: This might be one of my favorite promotions that the Tiger are giving away. It shows that they aren’t just about Verlander and Miggy. It also shows Max Scherzer the talent from St. Louis. I know I’m partial towards St. Louis because you know I live and grew up there. While it’s one of my favorites it’s not one of the best. To start I wish Scherzer was in the pitching motion. That’s just me though. I’d rather see a bobblehead in an action position because it’s harder to do and easy to mess up, but they look phenomenal when they turn out correct. The whole uniform is correct so that’s a plus, but doesn’t make up for the position in my book. He has the award which is nice but I also which he had a glove on his hand. I do also wish that the Tigers had put him on a mound. It looks like he’s just standing on dirt. There is no pitching rubber near him, it’s not slanted like a mound. The advertisement is also a buzz kill. It’s right at his feet and your eye naturally is attracted to it because the red lettering. The base uneventful and his name barely stands out from far away. Hopefully the Tigers don’t preform like some of their promotions. They have great potential but don’t go that far when it matters. The Cy Young plaque also doesn’t look that detailed. I probably wouldn’t know that it’s the Cy Young award without the description.
Note: Advertisement Presence is how much room the advertisement takes up on the promotion. A perfect score (100) is a result of no advertisements on the promotions. A zero is a result of a promotion with only ads and nothing else.
